Delicious paranthas for Yug- Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna

Three things that I miss about India is Mooli ke paranthe (roasted bread filled with radish filling), malai wali lassi (yougurt with cream) and mom! When I came to the US for my graduation, I was so excited about the freedom of living on my own. Gradually, it dawned that this freedom had lots of strings attached especially for a vegetarian. After surviving on Mc D’s veggie burger and coke for several months in a row, I decided to cook! Well, I have progressed as a great cook because my friends raid my fridge for leftovers!
Tonight, I am planning to try mooli ke paranthe. The inspiration comes from Tujh Sang Preet Lagayi Sajna! The cute Vrinda had prepared the paranthas for her beau in the last episode. Although Vrinda tells Yug that the paranthas are leftover from the morning, Yug finds out that Vrinda had specially prepared the dish for him. Hmm, both the paranthas and the chemistry between Yug and Vrinda appeared great.

Dill Mill Gaye-Armaan got a new responsibility

In the last episode of Dill Mill Gaye, aired on Star One, Dr. Armaan got a new responsibility. Dr. Shubhankar assigned him to the Colonel’s case. Though it’s a difficult one, yet Dr. Shubhankar trusts Armaan blindly. He thinks that if anybody can deal with this case, its only Dr. Armaan. We all trust him, don’t we? Atleast I do. The phrase beauty with brains usually goes with feminine gender but in this case, I personally want to alter it with looks coupled with intelligence. With his brainpower, I am sure he will be able to help Colonel recover very soon.

Dill Mill Gaye is a huge hit in California as well. All the Indians in California watch this serial dedicatedly.

Dill Mill Gaye-Armaan in disguise

Armaan of Dill Mill Gaye has discovered a new look for himself, which is quite similar to the Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi look of Shahrukh Khan. Armaan is trying hard to impress his would be father-in-law, Dr. Shashank. In the process, he transformed himself from a funky dude look to a simple suburb one with moustache and oily hair. His looks were so deceptive that even his friends could not recognize him. At this point, the serial touched its crescendo of excitement. I really enjoyed watching this episode and I hope to see many more such episodes in future. These serials are the only source through which we can stay in touch with our country. Otherwise, life in Texas would be boring without these entertaining soaps.

Dill Mill Gaye-Abhimanyu gets irritated

The last episode of Dill Mill Gaye, shown on Star Plus, was highly entertaining. At first, Abhimanyu insults Nikita in front of everybody for having coffee in the corridor, which was against the rule. Then again, Nikita gets a chance to exact revenge. She smudges cake over Abhimanya’s face intentionally to bring his down his airs. It’s really fun to watch them. I think it’s the beginning of a new love story. Almost all Indians in Texas follow Dill Mill Gaye regularly.

Dill Mill Gaye-COMIC relief- Ring exchange

Amidst the entire emotional saga in Save Sanjeevani concert on Dill Mill Gaye, what came as a comic relief was the ring exchange misunderstanding between Dr. Shubhankar and Dr. Muskan. Dr. Shubhankar misplaced his ring for proposing to Dr. Kirti, which was found by Dr. Muskaan. She found it in her bag and thought that Rahul had got it for her. We chuckled at the somewhat farcical revelation of truth. Nonetheless, Dill Mill Gaye is one of the best desi shows one can watch in Boston.
